CRUISE again??!?!?

Ello lovelies!

I'm back from my cruise trip with my parents and bro!!

Yea! You did not see it wrong, I board the cruise AGAIN!! LOL.. I did not share those trips before because it's nothing new and exciting for me. Hah.. Sound like a tai tai? But yea, truly there are nothing much exciting except some family time~

I began boarding the cruise when I were very very young?!?! During my primary school time? And thereafter the one or 2 trips later, my parents each are the members of Star Cruise. That explain why we board the cruise superbly often. Our cabins were F.O.C! Not really F.O.C but more like claimable from the points in my parents membership card. And those points were earned from their gambling~ =__=

So every time I told my GF that I'm cruising again.. They will give me that shocked look and say :
" NOT AGAIN?!?!"

We used to cruise a few times every year together, before my sister got married. My parents are worst, they used to travel weekly!! =O sibei crazy one!

We even board the sank Sun Vista before!!!

Alright, enough of the the long winded history, I'm going to share some pictures I took during my cruise trip last Wednesday!

We depart Singapore on Wednesday night, towards Port Klang, Malaysia!

So the night we board the cruise......

 The bear haunting you down~

"WHOOOOOooooohhoooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Trying to take some " look-far" artistic shots~

* Photo photo photo....*

After boarding, we had our dinner/supper and I must say, their standard DROPPED terribly!! Till the extend that I asked my dad a few times if they are going bankrupt soon? So disappointing one!

We went back to our cabins to "rest" after our meals, while waiting for the Casino to open! Since we board the cruise so often, there are nothing much for us to tour around~ LOL.... Nevertheless, we still enjoy ourselves as much in the CASINO!! LOL~  The Casino only opens when she is on the International Sea! and ITS 24 HOURS ONE!!! So gamblers could just stay overnight there! LOL... Normally it will open an hour after the cruise depart~

On the second day.......

we booked shopping tour to Midvalley mega mall in KL! *Shop Shop Shop....*

We've reached Port Klang Cruise Centre at about 2pm and we waited to depart for our individual tour! There are a few options to choose from on the tour you wanna go. From the tourist attractions to shopping tour! Each have their individual buses to bring you to the places that you've book beforehand.

As we've been there a few times,so we chose the shopping tour at Midvalley Mega Mall straightaway instead of the tourist attractions~

Us while waiting to depart~

The mall is super big! Its divided to a few sectors and we only manage to shop half of 1 sector! Crazy?!?!? and MEGA HUGE!!

Unfortunately, Its only a half day tour, we are only given about 2.5 hours to shop before we hopped on the bus back to our cruise. The bus journey took about 1.5 hours!! =(

But anyway, I still bought a few things within that short time frame~ and we bought a lot of tidbits!! *happy*

A photo before we board the cruise at Port Klang.

After dropping our loots, we went to have our dinner and once again,

WAITING FOR THE CASINO TO OPEN!!!!

hahahahaha...
It's more like a trip being gamblers?!!?

But anyway, I chanced upon their event highlight the day before and I saw the MADNESS CHOCOLATE PARTY they are holding on the second night !! As a chocolate lover, I couldn't miss this chance! So I dragged the bear with me to check it out~ And we had chocolate buffet!!! WEEEEEEeeeee... happy me~

Lots of chocolate goodies!! Yum Yum!!

And then.... THE CASINO AGAIN!!! lol... Seriously, its really a trip to become gamblers for 3 days!

Because, the next morning after our breakfast,  ITS CASINO AGAIN!! and its the last "fight" before we depart!! LOL..

And that summarizes our gambling family trip for Good Friday!!

Lastly, I'm not a christian but I'll still like to wish everyone:

HAPPY EASTER DAY!!

Thank you for reading~

I'm sick..miserable and I'M LEAVING TODAY!!!

Ello..

My blog post title sound negative much? Don't worry!

I'm just leaving for cruise tonight and I'll be back on good Friday!! Hooray!!

But yea, I'm terribly sick since yesterday!  FML to the max please! I hate getting ill specially when I'm travelling!!! *shitty mood on *

It just got so bad till I'm mood-less for everything!!

I've got this Easter day nailart design been running on my mind for 2 weeks and I just can't wait to share with you guys!  BUT.... I'm just too sick to bend my head down to draw the design on my nails because my nose just wouldn't stop dripping... :/

So instead of the nail art design that is running in my mind, I've the plain nails done with OPI's liquid sand collection!

This collection is soooooo PRETTY with the texture and blings!! Most importantly, it's so easy to put on and I don't need to apply top coats for this! =D

There are also other colours to choose from and the one I'm using is "The Impossible".

Credit: http://news.chalkboardnails.com/2012/10/opi-partners-with-mariah-carey.html

It is so easy to apply that I'm done with my nails within 5mins!! FAST & EASY!!! Wheeeee...

Well, with my current nose dripping condition, I have to finish my manicure at a lightning fast speed! And this is the only best choice among the others polishes that I have ~

If you followed my instagram (@akemi0sihui ), I've actually done a nail art design for Valentine's day with the same nail polish! Check it out:

Pretty or not??

Alright, that's all for now and I've got to go!!

See you when I'm back!!

With love,
Akemi

The wonders of HAIR!!!

When it comes to hair, I'm super open to all sorts of hairstyles and changes! As long its not that sort of super short cut, like pixie hair ~

http://www.highstylenews.com/style-your-hair-in-a-pixie-haircut-2012/ginnifer-goodwin-pixie-haircut-2012/

I TOTALLY can't imagine myself in this!! and I would never in my FUTURE life (as of now) to have this hair cut!

Well, I actually had this kind of short and boyish hairstyle back then, when I'm in primary school? When I'm "too young" to have rights/ decisions on the type of hair I like? And parents just insist a super short one so they don't have to tie my hair every morning?? *rolled eyes*

I'll always remember this incident right after my haircut..... There was this chap chai png uncle (FYI: Till NOW, I still remember CLEARLY how he looked like!!) who said to me: " AH BOY AH! WHAT YOU WANT AR?!?!?!" *stoned for a moment* and....

WHAT DA FUG???
*smoke came out from ears and nose, boiling over 100 degree*

FML totally right?? This incident definitely caused a super super super deep damage to my childhood lah! And by all means, I burned/ bleached to get rid of all the pictures I took back then!!!

Alright, now the sad and epic life have gone and I'm living happily ever after with my hair.... as you can see from here.

And this time round, I'm gonna share my first ever hair braiding experience!!!! WHOOOOooohoooo...

Last year I had my first ever experience to perform in Oschool recital!! You can read my post about it here, here and here.

It was a super great experience and performance that I surely wanna look GOOD! With the choreographers' visualization, me and some of the dancers researched on the hairstyle we wanted to portray on the actual day! So there was this design that caught my eyes!

CREDIT: http://blog.stylert.com/2012/04/27/braid-hair-trends-stylert-com/braid-hairstyle-trends-stylert-3/

Damned cool right?

And I so super look forward to have it done like this. Cause its simply out of the world? Post Apocalypse? just like the theme behind our dance item.

My hair then was totally cannot make it one....

Right?!?!?!

So I went to my hairstylist, Keida from clover (located at Fareast Plaza) to have my hair trimmed and coloured!!

See!!! Under his magic hands, My hair re-grown!!! LOL...

1 - 2 days before the actual day, I met with May to have our hair braided!! MAX EXCITED!!! and can't wait to have that SUPER COOL braid on my hair!! So we went to Fareast Plaza to have it done. I can't remember the shop name but it's quite distinctive and popular for hair braiding/corn rolls, dreadlocks and all the exotic hairstyle. The shop is filled with the "exotic" hairstyle pictures that's why its distinctive~

I showed her the picture that I wanted my hair to be made. Very unfortunately, she was unable to do that for me! *sad* TT___TT

All my anticipation just went to the drain!! =(  But no matter how, we still have to braid our hair for the performance in order to look "cool". So, I went with the fake Mohawk look~ LOL.... and the hairstylist suggested a few ways of braiding to achieve the look I wanted!

And she started!!!

She is a very nice lady! She suggested on how I should style my hair during the "normal" days at work and she braided it in a way that I still can look normal during work days! Not only that, she also taught me on how I could create the Mohawk look on the actual day!!! But well, I'm not as experience as her, so I just anyhow teased my hair to look like it! LOL~

In the making..... with our bubble tea... LOL..

After about 45mins, It's completed!! We quickly took pictures and shared it with the rest of our dance mates! hahaha.... and this was how it looks....

The side profile.

And it was extended to the back.

I have it done on my both sides cause I wanted to create the Mohawk look on the actual day. On the actual first day, Dory, one of my dance mates created the Mohawk for me!!

See... how it goes with my make up?
I've had compliments about the braids~ That it look really cool, "scary" and out of the world! So I guess it was a success "makeover" ?

The braids lasted for 2-3 weeks before it start itching till I dak boleh tahan and I removed it. I'm quite sensitive to it though because May had her's longer than mine. LOL.. and if you ever wonder, I still wash my hair as per normal but it just took a bit more time.

The braids are charged by per braid which unfortunately, I can't remember how much was it and the hairstylist gave me a discount too. =X

Share with me if you also had your hair braided!!! I love braids!!

That's about it and I'm ending here!!! =)

Attended my FIRST friend's wedding!!!!

Ello~

Alright, don't give me that " whuuuutttttttt?" look. I'm just so excited for my friend! And her's was the first wedding I attended!!

Not like I never attend wedding before, but its my FIRST "friend's" wedding I ever attend!!! It can be very very very exciting~

It also shows that we are entering next phrase of our life! *its a nicer way to say we grew older liao~* You will feel it when friends around you getting married or have kids!! Naturally, you will just feel happy for them! After all, its a happy celebration!

My Facebook wall will always flood with marriage or kids posts from friends that I'm not really close with and I'm just sooooooo JEALOUS!!! Because lao niang, IS NOT INVITED!!! I will still be happy for them though. LOL..

SO, finally I got my friend , Ting Yi's invite!!
So happy for her and her hubby, Idris, because they have been together since god damn long years!!

P.S: This is as usual a backdated post and the wedding actually happened end of last year! =/

It's not the normal Chinese wedding, because she was married to a Malay! But still, it's an experience!! And they definitely will be blissful!!

A total different wedding, compared to a Chinese wedding that I always attend with my family. We did not see her when we arrived and we will just help ourselves with the buffet spread.

We were served with obviously Malay food but no doubt, the food were delicious! And most importantly, she had a dessert buffet spread too!

MAD LOVE!!!
It was filled with fruits, sweets, cakes and traditional Malay / Nonya quey! It's indeed a paradise for sweet lovers like me who have sweet tooth every single hour!! =__=

Not just the food that I love, but her wedding decor too! Her wedding wasn't held at void decks that we always see but at a community center's function room~

Its in TIFFANY & OFF WHITE colour theme!!! OMG!!! tiffany colour is the next "in" colour please!

and the aisle! It look so grand with the chandelier!! and I love the chairs!! I'm also looking for these chairs for my wedding ~ LOL...

After admiring the decors and with out filled stomach, the newly wed couple marched in!!

Seee~ She is so beautiful and sparkles!!!

and her long "train" !

So they will be seated on the stage like king and queen and the MCs spoke something in Malay which we don't understand. LOL.. until their relatives starts taking pictures with them, we very auntie lah, we went to queue right in front of them to take picture too! LOL...

Nice hor!

We did not stay any longer and we left after this as she was also busy being the "queen".
After all, it's a great experience and I'm really happy for her!

MAY BOTH OF THEM HAVE A  BLISSFUL MARRIAGE IN THEIR COMING LIVES
with lotsa babies!!!!

I shall end my post here! And I'm so looking forward to more wedding invites from my friends!! =D

Eat.Play.Sleep - Hong Kong day 1 (10 Nov 2012 - 13 Nov 2012 )

ELLO everybodeh!!
My apologies for neglecting deezz space. But hey look what I'm gonna share today, It's my first Hong Kong trip last November~ I know it has been awhile but because I'm really packed and travelling around since the start of the 2013.... SO........ *excuses*

Anyway, back to the trip, I must say I'm pretty happy and "lucky" in the sense that we are travelling during our lovey dovey month. Not only we are travelling during our month, but also the actual day!

*If you still don't know, 10 November is actually our anniversary. *

You can see my excitement for the trip 8 days prior to the trip here. We are really excited about it, till the extend of reaching the airport 1 hours before the meeting time!! And in fact, I did not even able to catch a nap that night! It's the earliest flight and the bear is meeting his colleagues at 4am??!! ZZZZzzz...

While waiting for his colleagues to arrive, we obviously camwhored:

Act one smoker pattern.... =___=""

Cam-whore AGAIN, after checked-ins...

By the time we board, the sky was so beautiful!!! Especially the turquoise shades were just pretty~ After boarding and while waiting for the flight to take off, we.............................

CAM-WHORED AGAIN!!!!! LOL...

It's our first time filling the Hong Kong Immigration Arrival card. *so MUST take pictures*

The flight took about 4 hours to reach Hong Kong. And being mad excited and happy the day before, we took a nap on flight till breakfast time!

"Wakey wakey wakey!!! time for breakfast!!"

FINALLY! We are reaching soon!!! =)))

And Mr sleepy head still sleeping... ZZZZZzzzz

I'm very obsess with the fluffy clouds below us... Don't you think they look like candy floss?

I shall take more pictures before landing!!!

And we finally reached!!!
More pictures on the foreign land... the country where I love their signs, the old shops/buildings, everything just goes vintage!

I just felt like I've entered the scenes in Hong Kong drama... The big and occupied signage the packed streets and flats....

...and we reached the hotel that we will be staying before I got too overly high with the streets.

The hotel is located near MongKok station:

Credit: http://kowloon.rosedalehotels.com/theHotel/ourLocation/en/

The street right outside the main entrance...

We are welcomed with these 3 huge lamps hung from the 2nd floor ceiling and they are mad gorgeous. The hotel's lobby / front desk, is located on the second floor ,displayed with all the reputable designer piece.

Credit: http://kowloon.rosedalehotels.com/theHotel/ourLocation/en/

We got into our rooms respectively and I'm quite shocked with the room size. I did not expect the hotel to be that small though I knew it is relatively small from the tripadvisor.

But the architect/designer is actually quite smart in planning the room to its fullest despite it's limited space.

Our room is the Deluxe Room, and when we opened the door, we could oversee the entire room in one glance.

The view from the window.

And the toilet, where I'm really impressed with what the designer planned and fully utilized the corner of the room. The approximately 600mm toilet door acts as the main door as well as the shower screen. (shower on the right)

With technology, the glass door/ window is able to be made cleared or opaque with one switch.

When its cleared.

When its opaqued.

After playing umpteen times with the toilet glass switch, we proceeded to the main entrance to meet with the colleagues for lunch.

Walked around the hotel area to source for food and we ended here:

Sun Fat Restaurant

It is located right opposite our hotel and it looked like those cafe appeared in drama, very old Hong Kong look with these board stands outside of the restaurant.

The interior of the restaurant is very cozy and cooling with those back to back benches. Menus hung on the wall too (not in picture) just like those in drama one.

The food we've ordered for 4. Me, the bear, ah chai (colleague) & his GF:

The food is not really fantastic and they were super duper salty. LOL, I'm super not used to it and I felt my tongue swelled.

As we have to attend the company dinner at night, the group of us walked to the Mong Kok area for some short shopping.

We then walked passed this egg tart stall and couldn't resist the fragrance coming from the stall.
And oh my, It's freaking nice please! and shit, I did not take note of the stall name T__T.

The bear can always eat food until it's super delicious! He's a great food model. Anyone want to engage him as a food model? LOL..

We continued touring Mong Kok and Fa Yeun Street and just couldn't stop taking the streets' photos...

And I spotted this! The Hong Kong mini bus~

After the short shopping trip, we went back to the hotel to meet the rest of the colleagues for the company dinner.

I did not take any picture for the dinner and it's nothing nice too. Accept for the beer below~ LOL....
*lazy mood*

After the dinner, I so gotta meet up with my friend! KOH MEI!! She is studying at Hong Kong and she came and meet up with me despite the bear's objections. LOL.. So she brought me to the hotel nearby dessert shop for a short meeting up and chit chat cum gossip session.

Noble
The shop interior is pretty small and super crowded. It's just a simple small shop with nice dessert! A very cozy corner for chillax with friends~

The dessert shop was so crowded but it is yum yum!! Stepping out of the shop, I saw this parking ticketing booth that I've got to take a picture:

So vintage lah~ or more like I'll never see it in Singapore?

Because the bear objections, unfortunately, we did not go elsewhere after the dessert and she sent me back to the hotel where we chatted and cam-whored at the lobby. With the weirdest Polaroid camera she has, it cannot be aimed in the center even though from the view mirror it's centered. =__=

Ended up, ALL the pictures came out are like this:

ALL loped sided. hahahahaha.. accept for this:

THE NORMAL CAMERA one!! hahaha...=D

The happy times ended so quickly, day 1 in Hong Kong ended relatively fast. I will be blogging the other days in other entries but before I end this post, here are the things I bought in day 1:

Please continue my Eat . Play . Sleep Hong Kong tour day 2~

P.S : You can view more pictures I took in day 1 here !!

Thank you for reading and Tata~
